📋 Easy Lamb Mince Curry

This lamb mince curry or ground lamb curry recipe also known as lamb keema is a delicious and easy 30-minute meal. Perfect for when you're short of time!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 large onions diced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger and garlic paste
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • ¼ teaspoon chilli flakes
  • 2 tablespoon tomato puree
  • 500 g Reduced Fat Lamb mince less than 20% fat
  • Freshly Ground Salt and Black Pepper
  • 120 g frozen peas
  • Freshly Chopped Coriander optional garnish

Instructions

  • Gently heat the oil in large pan and sauté the onion until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Then stir in the ginger and garlic paste cooking for a further minute.
  • Add the spices and tomato puree and cook for another minute.
  • Add the lamb mince in batches and cook, breaking up the mince with a wooden spoon for about 6-7 minutes until cooked through. Season to taste.
  • Stir in the frozen peas and cook through, about 5 minutes.
  • Serve with plain basmati rice, naan breads or chapati, garnished with the chopped coriander.
