📋 Slow Cooker Spaghetti Bolognese

This slow cooker spaghetti bolognese requires minimal effort and delivers maximum taste. It's the perfect busy weeknight dinner!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion diced.
  • 80 g button mushrooms sliced.
  • 1 medium sized carrot peeled & grated.
  • 500 g lean beef steak mince
  • 1 clove garlic crushed.
  • 250 ml beef stock
  • 400 g tin chopped tomatoes.
  • 3 tablespoon tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon dried mixed herbs
  • Freshly Ground Salt and Black Pepper

Instructions

  • Gently heat the olive oil in a large saucepan. Add the onion, mushrooms, and grated carrot and sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
  • Add the mince in batches and brown it through. About 5 minutes.
  • Add the browned mince and all the rest of the ingredients into your slow cooker. Stir well.
  • Cook on low power for 5 - 6 hours or on high for 2 – 3 hours. Season to taste. If you need to thicken the sauce leave the lid off for the final hour of cooking.
  • Serve over cooked spaghetti topped with grated parmesan cheese.
