📋 Slow Cooker Beans and Rice
Slow cooker beans and rice is delicious, easy to make and makes a great budget family meal. Everything is cooked in the slow cooker saving time and dishes!

2 x 400g tins red kidney beans drained and rinsed 1 large onion finely diced 1 green pepper diced 1 stalk celery diced 2 cloves garlic crushed 120 g chorizo sausage sliced 1 tsp. salt ½ tsp. freshly grated pepper Pinch chilli flakes 2 tbsp. tomato paste 500 ml chicken stock 100 g basmati rice uncooked
Place all the ingredients except the rice into slow cooker.
Stir well.
Cook on low for 5 hours. Stirring occasionally. Add more water if necessary.
Half an hour before the end of cooking stir in the rice. Continue to cook and stir until rice is cooked. Add more water if required.
Once cooked season to taste and serve.
