I love summer for the berries! I'll often just let them sit on the counter, and nosh on them evey time I walk by. But once they start to soften, you have to do something with them, and this seems like a perfect "something." I haven't used coconut milk in a smoothie, but I am a fan of almond milk, which I'm guessing would be a decent alternative. I love that you sweetened it with honey rather than sugar.

Yes absolutely Jeff, almond milk would be a suitable alternative here instead of coconut milk. It might give it a bit of a different taste but you could always just alter the amount of the honey to suit.

I second Jeff's thoughts about the honey here. Great idea! I often just use a banana with frozen fruit and a container of Greek yogurt. Depending on the time of the year, that's usually sweet enough, but I'm going to stash the honey tip away for the offseason. Speaking of seasons, our fresh fruit has been plentiful and cheap here, too. I keep buying more than we can eat since I just can't resist it! We end up making smoothies, too, since it uses up a bunch of fruit really fast. I love the strawberry + raspberry combo here, Neil. Hope you have a great weekend ahead, my friend!

It's the same here David. There's just so much excellent fresh summer fruits in the shops at the moment. That's why this and my last recipe have been all about using them in different ways to get the best out of them. Hope you have a great weekend too!

I love simple and delicious recipes like this, Neil! I am a huge berry fan and this smoothie looks absolutely delightful - how wonderful that you've used not one, but two different types of berries! And no refined sugar, you know I am always happy with that.
