Overnight cranberry oats. Wake up to a delicious and easy festive breakfast! A great way to use up any leftover cranberry sauce too!
'Tis the season for festive breakfasts, and I’m excited to introduce this easy, delicious way to kick off my Christmas recipes with cranberry overnight oats!
Christmas is right around the corner, and it’s time to start adding a little holiday cheer to our mornings.
Each year, around this time, I look forward to my baked cranberry oatmeal for breakfast to get me in the festive mood and enjoy that delightful cranberry flavour.
So this year I thought how can I make things even easier and just wake up to a already made cranberry breakfast?
An overnight oats version?
The idea hit me when I spotted a jar of cranberry sauce in the fridge, waiting to be used.
It seemed like the perfect, quick fix to wake up to a ready-made breakfast full of festive flavours.
This cranberry overnight oats recipe breakfast is great for busy mornings as it doesn't require any cooking.
Just put all the ingredients into a container, stir well and put in the fridge overnight. It's that simple!
In the morning, when you wake up, you’ll have a creamy, flavourful breakfast all ready and waiting for you.
The oats soak up all the flavours, especially the tangy cranberry sauce, making every bite deliciously festive.
It’s a great reason to get out of bed and kick off the day on a tasty, festive note!
One of the best things about this cranberry overnight oats recipe is its versatility—you can enjoy it all year round!
I mean we all have that jar of cranberry sauce left sitting in the fridge doing nothing after Christmas don't we?
If you're anything like me you probably hate anything at all going to waste.
Instead of letting it go to waste, this recipe puts it to good use in a way that’s both delicious and convenient.
Also, what's wrong with eating cranberry all year round anyway?
Who says cranberries are only for December?
Their tart flavour adds a bright, refreshing twist to breakfast, no matter the season.
Plus, having a festive, ready-made breakfast can bring a little holiday cheer to any morning, even in the middle of summer!

Overnight oats are the best -- adding cranberries just gives the oats just enough tang, and what a great breakfast to have during cranberry season ๐

I can't get enough of cranberries at this time of year! Ha ha! Thanks Michelle.

What a great way to use leftover cranberry sauce! I eat oatmeal for breakfast a couple days a week, but I don't think I've ever made cranberry oatmeal. This is a great flavor for the holidays, and it's a fun way to mix up the routine. In fact, we might have some leftover cranberry sauce in the fridge right now...I'll have to check!!

I love cranberries all year round, but of course I particularly enjoy them this time of the year. And yes, we often have that open jar of cranberry sauce in the refrigerator ๐ This is a lovely porridge variation, and if you add same spices like nutmeg or cinnamon, it will give you even more festive vibes!
Neil
Great idea to add in your own choice of festive spices to this cranberry oats breakfast recipe Ben! I also think that a small sprinkling of Appspice would be delicious as well!

This is perfect this Christmas season, it looks festive but the idea of effortless is great specially when you are tired preparing big meals for dinner the night before, all you need to do in the morning is wake up and eat
Neil
Exactly that Raymond! And at this time of year when people are busy preparing for Christmas, the last thing they want to do is have to spend even more time cooking. So this just helps to reduce that time. And is a great start to the year! ๐
