Folks, if you're looking for an easy simple lamb burgers recipe that's packed with flavour but only uses a handful of everyday ingredients, then you're in the right place.

In the recipe demonstration below, I shallow fry my easy lamb burgers in a pan, but you could just as well cook them on your BBQ!

These juicy homemade burgers are quick to prepare, deliciously tender and perfect for an easy midweek dinner.

With minimal prep and cooking time, dinner can be on the table in just 30 minutes.

All I'm using to make these simple lamb burgers are lamb mince, breadcrumbs, store cupboard seasonings, a crushed garlic clove and an egg to bind everything together.

This recipe just goes to show that sometimes the simplest recipes really are the best!

If you've never made lamb burgers before you should start with this incredibly simple and straighforward recipe.

There's no complicated shaping or chilling you just place all of the ingredients into a large bowl, mix with your hands, form the patties and cook.

The recipe is versatile enough to add other seasonings and ingredients as you get more confident or want to try and spice things up a little more.

If you can't get lamb mince, you can easily substitute with beef mince instead.

Once you try this easy lamb burgers recipe, I'm pretty sure it will become your go-to burger night favourite.

Also if you can get chicken or turkey mince then why not try my quick healthy turkey burgers recipe?

I've also got some really popular vegetarian options here too, like my homemade quorn burgers or for vegans my kidney burgers.

    FAQ's

How Many Calories Are In Lamb Burgers?

There are 426 calories per burger.

Do I Need To Add Breadcrumbs?

Yes. Don't skip the breadcrumbs. They help bind the mixture together and lock in moisture. Otherwise your burgers might dry out during cooking.

Can I Cook Lamb Burgers In The Oven?

Yes. Place them on a greased baking tray and cook for 20 minutes at 180°C Fan, turning halfway through.

Can I Grill These Homemade Lamb Burgers?

Yes. Cook under a medium grill for around 8–10 minutes each side until fully cooked through.

How Do I Know When Lamb Burgers Are Fully Cooked Through?

The burgers should be browned on the outside. The juices should run clear. I always cut one in half to check, the center should be a brownish-grey with no raw pink.

Can I Freeze Homemade Lamb Burgers?

Yes. You can freeze the uncooked patties, individually wrapped for up to 3 months. Or you can freeze cooked lamb burgers, again individually wrapped. Defrost either fully before cooking.

How To Reheat Cooked Lamb Burgers?

Wrap the defrosted cooked lamb burgers in foil and reheat in your oven at 160°C Fan for 10-15 minutes.

What Should I Serve With These Easy Lamb Burgers?

Serve on toasted buns, on a bed of lettuce and tomato with the burger patty topped with a slice of cheese and sliced red onion. Chips, additional salad or roasted vegetables to accompany work well.
