    Folks, I'm a huge fan of using Quorn mince as a vegetarian substitute for beef mince, so today I'm rounding up my most popular Quorn mince recipes for you.

    Using Quorn is a great way to gradually cut down on the amount of red meat you eat.

    Quorn is both easy to use and very tasty too.

    It's so handy when you want a quick dinner and it doesn't need to cook for long. It takes on flavours really well.

    How To Cut Down On Your Red Meat Intake

    Cutting down on your red meat intake has many benefits such as improving your own health and the health of the planet too.

    You don't have to give up red meat completely if you don't want to. Just replace it with another option such as Quorn.

    What Is Quorn Mince?

    Quorn mince is made from Mycoprotein which is a nutritionally healthy protein source, discovered more than 40 years ago.

    Mycoprotein is a type of fungi which is produced by a fermentation process similar to that used for yeast in bread.

    How Healthy Is Quorn Mince?

    Quorn is meat free, low in saturated fat and high in fibre.

    Quorn mince can aid weight loss as it is only 92 calories per 100 grams. Whereas beef mince contains 332 calories per 100 grams.

      I've never had Quorn, but these recipes do look fantastic, Neil! I have seen it in the stores, although it's not easy to find here in the States. You've got me craving Bolognese now though!!

        Thanks David. Yeah, I heard it's not easy to find in the U.S. I do think most, if not all of these recipes could be made with soya mince instead though.

        Hi Frank. I checked and there's resources on the interent which tell you where you can get it in the U.S.A. Although if not available you can use soya mince in most cases instead. 🙂

      Ohhh I never had quorn in my life, I am not sure if that is even sold here. Definitely those recipes can be interchanged with real beef mince, they all look delicious!

        Yes I think you could probably do all of those recipes with beef mince if you wanted to Raymund. But as I've said in other comments, Soya Mince would probably work too.
